Buddha is the ninth personification of Lord Vishnu. Buddha, although born into the family of the wealthy and kings left his family in search of truth and wisdom. There are countless avatars of Lord Vishnu, of which are known as Dashavataras or the 10 avatars that are most discussed. According to religious texts, the incarnation of Gautama Buddha, the initiator of Buddhism, was also a incarnation of Lord Vishnu. but the Buddha of God mentioned in the Puranas was born in Kitkat near Gaya and his father’s name is called Ajna. The Vaishnavas consider Gautama Buddha as the ninth and most recent incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to them, Lord Krishna is the form of Vishnu which was very different than other incarnations. In the list mentioned in the Srimad Bhagavatam, which many regard as the most trustworthy, both Balarama, as well as the Buddha, appear.
