Nagam Idol (shesha)

Description

Sesha, also called Sheshnag, is the supreme or king of all nagas (snakes). It’s supposed to balance the world with every planet under its hood. Sheshnag is a valiant servant to Lord Vishnu and he always sings in Lord Vishnu’s glory. Sheshnag is typically depicted floating in the sea, has 5 to 7 heads and has a crown on each head. It is said that he embodied with Lord Vishnu. He was personified as a brother of Lord Ramas and as Balarama, brother of Lord Krishnas, Lakshmana. This is one of many names in Lord Vishnu. Anant is the Sheshnag, the heavenly serpent, upon whom Lord Vishnu presides. Shesh Nag, the serpent god, has been worshipped and worshipped by many persons for centuries. He is considered the king of the demonic areas known as Patala. Lord Vishnu slept on the bed of his reel throughout the interval of creation.
