Goddess Annapoorna Devi, who is in the form of Parvati, is the representation of Shiva’s wife. Food or grains are what Anna means. Annapurna Devi’s well-being is reflected in the hymns that are dedicated to her. At sunrise during our stay in Varanasi, we visited the Annapurna Mantra Homam before the sanctuaries were open to the public.
